Project: New Cinephilia is a curated project to spark and record conversation around the way we watch and discuss films now. The project is being developed by Damon Smith and Kate Taylor and an inaugural symposium event will take place at the 65th Edinburgh International Film Festival, June 15 – 26, 2011. This website exists to reflect some of the topics and ideas that may get discussed in Edinburgh and to gather some of our research and resources in one place.

Think of it as a pop-up film-journalism seminar for those interested in contributing to the discourse around world cinema, whether remotely or on the ground in Edinburgh, prior to or during the festival.
